How to set up a Nintendo Wii

This was part of a unit that i had to do for college. i originally had this created in a powerpoint but i thought i would add it to the blog.

Step One: Unpacking the Console

  • Firstly you will want to take the games console out of its box along with all of the cables and connectors.
  • Then you should take the vertical stand and the round plastic and slide them together.
  • If you do not wish to stand the console up it isn’t necessary it can be put on its side.

Step Two: Connecting the Console

  • Now you will connect the AC adapter and AV plugs into your console and to your power socket.
  • Make sure that before plugging these in that the power on the socket is switched off to risk causing any harm to yourself.

Step Three: Positioning the Sensor

  • Make sure you position the sensor at arm level for example at the top of your television.
  • This is because while you are playing the sensor is what you will be pointing the remote at.

Step Four: The Remote

  • Use the two AA batteries inside the box for your remote.
  • Then make sure that your wrist strap is firmly connected to your remote.

Step Five: Synchronizing the Remote

  • In case your remote is not already synchronized you will need to turn over your remote and press the tiny red button close to where you put the batteries in.
  • Then look at the front of your console and there will be a red button near the memory card slot, press it until the LED light stops flashing.

Step Six: Turn it on

  • Now you’re set to play. Switch the console on by the remote and insert your game.
